I just finished “Destroyed” by @lrwlee, and it was the fourth and final installment to the Morningstar Academy series! I do not think you’ll understand how much I enjoyed this series! But I will do my best to describe it! ⚔️ Angels vs demons ⚔️ Armageddon ⚔️ YA romance (this means there was romantic elements to the story, but nothing explicit) ⚔️ Self-redemption ⚔️ Self-discovery ⚔️ Adventure In “Destroyed,” we follow our lead fallen angel, Gladriel, as she rediscovers her own self worth and tries to return to third heaven; to be restored with the Almighty. Along the way, she and her friends encounter trial after trial as they try to save the world from falling into the hands of Lucifer. This novel is a roller coaster of emotions, but every emotion felt is something the reader has (or will) endure at some point in their lives. Gladriel’s story is relatable, and the reader will feel like the author is telling a version of their own story in a way. I enjoyed every part of this series, and if you enjoy a retelling of book of Revelations, with a fantasy twist, then I highly recommend this series. As a Christian, I enjoyed this even more so — such a beautiful representation of a major trial! If you’re looking for a series to dive into, then you’re in luck! This last installment is set to be released on June 9, 2025! Are you ready to save the world?

What a roller coaster of emotions!! This is a wonderful finale to the Morningstar series. So many amazing things happen. I love that the author based this story on the book of revelations in the Bible. Glad has a wonderful ending in the story and it’s all I could hope for! All the crew are here and vengeance is served! If you’ve read books 1-3, you have to read book 4!

The final book had my in tears of thankfulness and joy. This entire series was so well written and deserves 5 stars! I can only hope that this series will open doors for readers that would not otherwise be opened to them!

Well thank you LRW Lee for this series. I will miss squad 132 and the gang from the Morning Star Academy so much. I really need everyone to read the first 3 books to get to this finish. Glad finally understands what it means to love yourself and forgive and to be forgiven. That’s all I can say without giving too much away. My favorite series of 2023! And the audiobooks are exquisite. Perfect choice of narrator in Sarah Kisko.

I couldn't put it down! The author's storytelling is exceptional, making this book a must-read for any fantasy fan.

An absolute gem! From the moment I started reading, I was hooked. The author’s world-building is incredibly vivid, making every scene come alive in my mind. The characters are so well-developed and relatable, especially the protagonist whose journey had me cheering for her all the way. The plot is full of unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. As a fan of fantasy, this book exceeded all my expectations. I can’t wait for the next installment! Highly recommended!

This was another winner in the Morningstar Academy series, it had everything that I was looking for and enjoyed from the other books. The characters felt like they were supposed to in this universe. It had what I enjoyed from L. R. W. Lee and glad it worked well overall and left me wanting to read more in this series and author.

I really enjoyed this book. It is different than most books I read. But it was very enjoyable. The world building was great and I loved the romance.

The Morningstar Academy crew are back for more action, drama, and danger as things seem to be escalating and getting crazier and worse. I enjoyed the story and watching it all play out and guessing what might come next. A great story and the returning characters just make it a blast to read as everything seems to be going downhill. There is so much going on in this book. Drama, action, suspense, and more. Will Gladriel and the other change the propphecy? What will happen to Gladriel and Kessien's relationship? Another well written book in this series. I can't wait to get my hands on the audio as in the previous books it has just added to the story and characters.

Free is a fallen angel and is still trying to get back into heaven. She is being made to hurt humans and it is grieving her deeply. She has developed feelings for someone else and it is causing a bigger rift. She is a stubborn angel and she is missing the whole point of her actions. Lee has a knack for retelling the book of Revelation in a way that will keep you on the edge of your seat. While Dree and my personal favorite, Dante, navigate together all the heinous things Morningstar Academy teachers think up, they begin to get closer. Kessien is busy with the squad and assignments from heaven, so tensions grow between Dree and Kessien to a boiling point. Dree is sorry for that, but will not repent about getting revenge for her BFF, Astread, so how will she be forgiven? Beware the false prophets and entire swarm of beasties that come during "Marked" because you don't want to end up in the next book, "Destroyed!"
